I write about writing, but writing about writing is writing about the human condition.
As humans, we intend to externalize the internal. Our inner dialogue turns into seeking out advice columns. Our emotions are swayed by cute puppy videos. Then our needs seek out gods and religions. Next, our rage gets magnified by the news. We become combative to everyone around us. We are unhappy, because we are not fulfilled.
When we are out there looking for validation, then we are not inside ourselves to do a thorough checks and balances. Our intuition, inner guidance, is the place we need to be evaluating and validating information, especially of ourselves. We need to be centered in our own energy before we can comprehend the world around us.
No one teaches this method as parents, because parents are sucked into the void through the teachings of their parents. Church, school, culture and society does not teach people to come from a place of their own power.
Why? Then you would not be the useful tool to elect them into office, tithe their holy place of worship, and obey unjust laws (taxes anyone?).
How do you find this inner locus?
Grounding meditations. You can find many on the internet, and video sites. Find the one that is most comfortable to you, and do that exercise every day.
Your energy will change. How you treat yourself and other people will change. The way people treat you will also change, because you are no longer taking yourself for granted. You are validating yourself as you should be.
What does this have to do with writing? I am glad you asked that question. So many writers don’t have a voice. You read their work and cannot hear them. There are just words typed on a page or screen, with dead air filling in the background.
Do you want to write with authority? With a voice? Then you have to stop externalizing your needs, and internalize your energy. No one needs to validate your opinions, emotions, or desires. Once you give up begging and pleading and demanding of other people to give you attention, then you will hear yourself. And, you are not going to like your comportment.
That immaturity seeps into your writing… or other creative outlets like singing, composing, acting, and dancing. If you become true to yourself instead of comparing yourself to others/outside world, then you will find the will and avenues to excel by being open to constructive criticism, and able to change what is not serving you. In this instance, you are not serving you.
The culture of external gratification has given rise to out of control individuals. If you are not in control of your own being, then who is dancing your puppet strings? Who makes you angry? Who is telling you what to do?
In the past few decades, we have had permissive adults teaching children, adolescences, and other adults that the external validation is the golden trophy to attain. There have been instances of bullying and gang stalking people who do not agree with using certain pronouns or extreme behaviors in the name of justice, equity, or equality. This manipulation is a distraction, which creates division.
Why? Because these people want to keep the charade going for their own benefit. If you are externalizing your needs, then you are at their beck and call. You buy from their retailers and products. You vote to elect their people. In addition, you manipulate others into your worldview, which is really their worldview. You have nothing. Not only that, but you have their attitudes and opinions.
Where are you? Well, you checked out. It is easier for you to exhibit other peoples’ values than your own. In this place, you do not have to take responsibility for anything. It is their opinion. It is their behavior you are conforming to. You live in a reality created by someone else. You are in essence their slave and oh, how these people like you in that state of being.
Or, you can stop externalizing your hopes and fears, and realize that it is all a hoax. If you are into climate change, gender ideology, religion, and “trust the science,” then you need to step back into your own energy and center of power. From there, you are less likely to be sucked into the marketing campaign called reality hacking.
I even wrote a short story/novelette called The Reality Hackers, because what is being done in modern society is that very thing. Do you know what is real? If it is on the television, social media, and the internet, then without doing the research, your reality isn’t real at all. You live in an illusion.
Not so? Here are some facts:
Since the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 was approved, the Central Intelligence Agency has been running this country. Your news, films, politics and policies are being manipulated from the internet onward. This nation is so polarized that most people do not understand the full dynamics of the problem.
If these people can keep you distracted long enough to have you vote in your oppression from the right or the left, the happier these big wigs will be. It does not matter to them who you vote in, as long as you vote them in, which is nearly 100% of the time. Vote the Big D or R? They’ve got you.
D and R are the same policy group called the UN system. UN as is United Nations. You have not only lost your inner voice, but your freedoms and rights as well.
In order to take your nation back, you have to take your energy back from externalizing yourself. Do you want to write from a place of knowledge, wisdom, and personal power? Then you are going to have to give up other peoples’ agendas.
But I believe in this or that!
Do you really? Or, were you convinced of a seemingly innocuous principle without reading the entire fine print of the suppository’s prescription insert before it was logged up your bottom’s hole?
Sorry, but someone has needed to say this to you for a long time.
One person can make a difference. Change does happen… the only rules to these axioms are that they come from a place of inner knowing, internal wisdom, and centered personal power.
The only way you as a creator can get here from there is when you decide that you have had enough of being their puppet and become the person you have always been.
Who are you? What do you want?
Shouldn’t you be asking yourself these questions, instead of cheating off someone else’s paper for the answer?
To be a creator means you have to create. If someone else is telling you how to vote, buy, or dress, then you are not being a creator, you are behaving on behalf of someone else’s agenda.
Ground yourself. Know yourself. Be true to yourself.
In this fortitude, you will find your inner strength and power that will help you develop your own creative writer’s voice. Until you do, your writings will be black ink on a white page. You are speaking with other people’s voices. Authentic people use their own.
Be the change you want to see in the world, by first changing yourself.
Have a great and grounded day.
